VEGAS DINING NEWS: Eatwell Farewell May Signal Giada Sayonara, Toughest Vegas Reservations
Eatwell at the Cromwell has shut down, which isn’t groundbreaking news as it was merely a 24-hour fast-service food stall that launched in 2017. This, however, leaves Giada by chef Giada De Laurentiis as the only remaining dining choice at the Caesars Entertainment property, which is set to re-launch as the Lisa Vanderpump Hotel early next year.
The closure is important because it indicates that furnishings and decor aren't the only aspects Vanderpump is overseeing at the Cromwell, which stays open during the rebranding. Caesars’ press release last March indicated solely that the renovation would affect the reception and front desk areas, all 188 rooms, and that a “completely new lounge” would be included.
Vanderpump has established three dining venues in Las Vegas in collaboration with Caesars: the Vanderpump Cocktail Garden at Caesars Palace, Vanderpump à Paris at Paris Las Vegas, and Pinky’s by Vanderpump at Flamingo Las Vegas.
Even prior to Eatwell's departure, it appeared probable that the reality star/chef would possess clear thoughts regarding the dining options at the hotel named after her. And, as Vital Vegas uniquely stated, “divas are instinctive adversaries in nature, with all due respect.”
When Casino.org asked a Caesars representative in March, the response was: “At this moment, no additional changes are anticipated.”
Nonetheless, that was in the past, and this is the present, yet the same spokesperson has not replied to a recent inquiry regarding the Italian restaurant's situation.

The site failed to explain how it established its rankings, so it’s likely just another food popularity contest. Nonetheless, it wasn't fabricating a story when it suggested: “If you're considering a trip to Vegas soon, it's wise to reserve your meals ahead of time to prevent dissatisfaction — particularly if you aim to secure a spot in any of the popular restaurants listed below during busy dining hours (consider between 7 pm and 9 pm on a Friday or Saturday night).”
Strike of Food Workers at the Airport Terminal
Culinary Workers Union Local 226 has arrived at an arrangement that is expected to resolve the potential strike by food and beverage employees working at a minimum of nine restaurants at Harry Reid International Airport.
The union revealed a provisional agreement with HMSHost, which operates Chili’s, California Pizza Kitchen, Ruby’s Diner, PGA Golf Restaurant, Las Vegas Chophouse & Brewery, Starbucks, Burger King, Carl’s Jr., and Dunkin’ Donuts at the country's eighth most frequented airport.
Negotiations are ongoing for a contract concerning the 400 fast-food employees working at Wendy’s, Nathan’s Hot Dogs, Aunt Annie’s, Village Pub, Jimmy John’s, Jersey Mike’s, and Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf at the airport.
